Uber Driver Donates Kidney to Passenger

During Bill Sumiel’s drive to a dialysis center, he struck up a conversation with his Uber driver about the kidney issues he was facing and being in need of a transplant. Sumiel’s driver, Tim Letts, was called to help his passenger in need and offered to get tested to see if his kidney would be a match. Letts is an army veteran who claims he took it as a sign from the universe that a person in need landed in his car that day. As it turned out, Letts ended up being a match, and he successfully donated his kidney to Sumiel. Over the course of the transplant process, the two have become close friends and are forever bonded by Lett’s life changing act of kindness.
