JetWind Corporation has developed an innovative system that captures energy from jet engine exhaust during pre-flight checks at Dallas Love Field Airport. Installed beneath boarding gates, these energy-capturing pods harness the powerful airflow generated when aircraft engines idle before takeoff. This captured energy is converted into electricity, contributing to the airport's power supply and promoting sustainable infrastructure. After three years of testing, 13 sets of pods have been deployed, each capable of generating approximately 30 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy, enough to power a family home for several days. This initiative positions Dallas Love Field as a leader in adopting eco-friendly technologies within the aviation industry.
