Brody Ridder, a 7th grader in Colorado, was disappointed when his classmates refused to sign his yearbook at the end of the school year. Ridder’s mom, Cassandra, was brokenhearted to learn that her son had been bullied at school and shared the experience online. The message reached actor Paul Rudd, who decided to cheer up Ridder with a sweet surprise. Rudd FaceTimed Ridder to offer some advice and sent him a signed Ant-Man helmet and letter. As Rudd said, “It’s important to remember that even when life is tough that things get better. There are so many people that love you and think you’re the coolest kid there is — me being one of them!” On top of that, the cast of “Dear Evan Hansen” on Broadway invited Ridder to New York City to see a show for free, and offered to sign his yearbook.
