Singer-songwriter Molly Burch is launching Picnic Studio, a nonprofit art space dedicated to providing creative opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Inspired by her volunteer work with the IDD community in Austin, she saw firsthand how art can offer connection and confidence to a community that often faces social isolation. Picnic Studio will provide a welcoming, supportive environment where adults with IDD can express themselves and build relationships through creativity. To bring this vision to life, Burch has launched a crowdfunding campaign, inviting supporters to help make art more accessible. Burch hopes that Picnic Studio will serve as a reminder of the importance of creating inclusive spaces, giving everyone the chance to express themselves.
