Babs Fry, known as San Diego’s “pet detective,” has dedicated her life to reuniting lost pets with their owners. After experiencing the heartbreak of losing a rescue dog herself, Fry founded a nonprofit organization to assist pet owners in tracking down their missing animals. Fry uses a methodical approach that includes deploying cameras, traps, and scent trails. In the process, she has successfully reunited dozens of families with their pets every month. Fry's efforts are entirely funded by donations, and she works tirelessly to educate pet owners about preventive measures, such as microchipping and securely fencing yards. Her work not only exemplifies the deep bond between humans and their pets, but also serves as an inspiring example of community-driven animal rescue efforts.
