Bret Michaels, the lead singer in the rock band Poison, recently adopted a 6-year-old Husky from The Nebraska Humane Society who shares his name. The shelter posted on Facebook about Bret Michaels the dog, who was able to save a 1-month-old kitten from flea anemia by donating blood. Human Bret Michaels had lost his dog Phoenix just days prior and was touched by the Husky’s story. He felt an instant kinship to the abandoned dog and knew he had to help. The musician decided to adopt Bret Michaels, who he calls Lil Bret, as well as the kitten that the canine saved, who he named Roses & Thorn.
