Home Kitchen, a not-for-profit fine dining restaurant in London's Primrose Hill, is pioneering a transformative approach by employing individuals who have experienced homelessness. Launched in autumn 2024 by a team including Michelin-starred chef Adam Simmonds and Soup Kitchen London director Alex Brown, the restaurant collaborates with organizations such as Crisis and Beam to recruit staff. The 16 employees are offered full-time contracts with London Living Wage, travel card coverage, and professional catering qualifications. This initiative not only delivers high-quality cuisine but also provides a supportive environment for staff to rebuild their lives, challenging public perceptions of homelessness.
