Italian museums are now offering dog-sitting services to make cultural experiences more accessible for pet owners. Operated by Bauadvisor, this initiative allows owners to explore museums while dog-sitters walk pets in nearby green spaces. The paid service is €10 per hour and is available at 290 museums across 53 Italian cities. There is also a free service available on Sundays, which will rotate monthly among various cities, including Venice in February and Bologna in March, over the next 15 months. Bauadvisor aims to promote Italy’s cultural heritage while addressing the needs of over 8 million dog owners, and hopes that other international cultural sites will follow suit in becoming more dog-friendly for residents and travelers.
