Mail Carrier Saves a Life

Kayla Berridge, a USPS mail carrier in New Hampshire, is being hailed a local hero for her keen observation skills. While on her route one day, Berridge noticed that mail had piled up for a few days at a resident’s home. Upon further thought, she realized that she hadn’t seen the resident, who is an elderly woman, in the neighborhood for a few days. Berridge contacted the authorities, who conducted a wellness check on the home. Police found the woman on the floor of her bedroom with various objects on top of her. She was immediately rushed to the hospital for dehydration and hypothermia. Thankfully, she is now stable and in recovery. If it weren’t for Berridge’s call, it’s possible the resident wouldn’t have survived the incident. Thank you for your work, Kayla!
