Cardi B is using her success to give back to young students in the Bronx. The famous rapper recently dropped off a $100,000 check at the middle school she attended, IS 232 in the Bronx, New York. Cardi B shared on Instagram that she wants the money to go towards an after school arts program that will help kids stay out of the streets and “allow them to learn something that they can take with them through life.” The 29-year-old has been outspoken about her tough childhood in the Bronx, and she doesn’t want the students of IS 232 to have to grow up as quickly as she did. Cardi B presented the generous donation at a school assembly, where she was met with unbridled cheers from students and teachers.
