A new initiative called The Ticket Bank is distributing unused tickets to performances in London’s West End to those who can’t afford them. In partnership with the Cultural Philanthropy Foundation, around 1,000 tickets per week will be available to those experiencing homelessness and poverty during the city’s cost of living crisis. Art and culture can be profound, life changing experiences for people regardless of their financial status, and The Ticket Bank is giving more individuals the opportunity to experience the power of live theater. The National Theatre, Gate Theatre, and Bush Theatre are some of the participating sites that will provide free tickets for theater, comedy, music, and dance performances.
