A 2,500-pound pumpkin, named Bear Swipe, took home the gold medal at Massachusetts’ Topsfield Fair. Bear Swipe was grown by Jamie Graham, who has been growing giant pumpkins for the past decade. In addition to winning first place in the Pumpkin Weigh-Off, Bear Swipe also set the fair’s record for heaviest pumpkin. As a prize, Graham was awarded $8,500 along with bragging rights, of course. Graham hasn’t yet decided what he’ll do with Bear Swipe when it returns home to him from display at the fair, but is considering turning it into a giant jack-o-lantern.
