Country Star’s Free Grocery Store

Country music legend Brad Paisley is giving back to families battling food insecurity by opening a second free grocery store in Nashville, Tennessee. The unique venture, called The Store, began in 2020 when its first location opened to the public, and now Paisley is under construction on a second location. The Store provides free nutritious food to over 700 families, and Paisley hopes they will continue to expand their reach as they open more locations. It’s a priority for Paisley that families have a “normal” shopping experience in The Store, as opposed to simply getting handouts at food banks. Customers shop the aisles with carts as they would in any other grocery store, the only difference being that they don’t pay when they leave. Nashville has been an important city to Paisley over the course of his country music career, and The Store has allowed him to give back to the community that helped his music take off.
