Airport Dog Finds A Home

A passenger traveling from Asia to San Francisco International Airport hopped on a connecting flight without claiming the most precious kind of cargo: their dog. United Airlines workers were stunned to find an abandoned dog in the terminal and knew they had to help. The airline teamed up with the San Francisco SPCA to help find the black shepherd dog, named Polaris by airport staff, a new home. United spread the word about the lost pup and 30 employees applied to be his forever family, but the honor was ultimately bestowed upon United Captain William Dale. United held an adoption celebration for Polaris at the airport business lounge to celebrate the resilient dog and his new family.
