90-Year-Olds Launch Podcast

In Buenos Aires, 97-year-old Alberto Chab wanted to hear more from people his age—so he put out a call on social media asking fellow 90-somethings to share their stories. That simple idea blossomed into something beautiful: a podcast called Noventa y Contando, or “90 and Counting”. With help from a young journalist, Chab and a group of inspiring older adults meet every two weeks to talk about everything from tango and memories of childhood to staying healthy and what it means to grow older with joy. The podcast is becoming a hit— their Instagram now has nearly 290,000 followers, and the group is working on turning the project into a full online platform to help older adults feel more connected, seen, and celebrated. Chab hopes that “90 and Counting” will show others that every story has the power to inspire, and that it’s never too late to start something new.
